Myriad Genetics announced the launch of Prolaris + AI, a prostate cancer test that combines clinical-pathological features, the Prolaris molecular score, and Pathomiq’s AI-powered digital pathology technology. The new integration is designed to help clinicians assess whether patients with low- or favorable intermediate-risk prostate cancer may be appropriate for active surveillance, while also supporting more personalized surveillance intensity. The Pathomiq-derived AI metric analyzes prostate biopsy histopathology images to estimate the likelihood of Gleason score upgrade at a future biopsy. According to Myriad, the AI metric will be available for Prolaris Biopsy Tests performed on U.S. samples, excluding New York State, starting with tests processed on May 29, 2026.
